This website is dedicated to the memory of the late Rochester Robinson, Sr. Rochester founded the Robinson, Pauley Aldridge Family Reunion in Baltimore, Maryland in 1976, and served as the National Coordinator for over 27 years. Rochester was born in Marengo County, Alabama, in 1944, to the late Clifford Robinson, Sr., and the late Estelle Pauley Robinson. He was one of eleven children. In 1963, he relocated to Baltimore, Maryland, where he was later married to Ms. Jacqueline Grandy. He had four children.
There are many accounts of the origins of the family reunion; however, we honor Rochester Robinson for his strength and tenacity in bringing the vision of many to reality. We know that Rochester did not do it alone. We are eternally grateful and appreciative of all family members and close friends who have worked so hard to make the reunions the success that they have always been.
No one of us is as strong or as powerful as all of us!
These families, Robinson, Pauley and Aldridge, originate in Marengo County, Alabama. They have gathered once a year for over 30 years in about ten states throughout the country. Together again without tears! We come together annually to celebrate accomplishments, mourn losses, and encourage future successes. In spite of all things, this is a great family and we continue to love, cherish and hold each other in the highest esteem.
